Abstract:

This report is a descriptive analysis of breastfeeding, complementary infant feeding, and the postpartum effects of breastfeeding and is based on data collected in 37 nationally representative Demographic and Health Surveys. Data in the analyses are from more than one quarter of a million children under the age of five years.
