Percent distribution of currently married women who are not using a contraceptive method, by intention to use in the future.

Population base: Currently married women who are not using contraception (IR file)

Numerator: Number of currently married women age 15-49 who are not currently use a method of contraception, by whether they intend to use contraception at any time in the future (v362)

 

Denominator: Total number of currently married women who are not currently using a method of contraception (v502 = 1 & v312 = 0)

Calculation

 

Numerator divided by the denominator, multiplied by 100.

 

Handling of Missing Values

Typically disaggregated by number of living children including the current pregnancy (v219).
