Definition

 

Among women age 15-49 who experienced symptoms of fistula and did not seek treatment, the percent distribution by reasons for not seeking treatment.

 

Coverage:

Population base: Women age 15-49 reporting past or current fistula symptoms (fistula_v1 = 1) and did not seek treatment (fistula_v7 = 0) (IR file)

Time period: Lifetime of the respondent

 

Numerators:

Number of women age 15-49 who experienced fistula symptoms (fistula_v1 = 1) and did not seek treatment (fistula_v7=0) by reason for not seeking treatment:

1)      Did not know problem can be fixed (fistula_v8a = 1)

2)      Did not know where to go (fistula_v8b = 1)

3)      Too expensive (fistula_v8c = 1)

4)      Too far (fistula_v8d = 1)

5)      Poor quality of care (fistula_v8e = 1)

6)      Could not get permission (fistula_v8f = 1)

7)      Embarrassment (fistula_v8g = 1)

8)      Problem disappeared (fistula_v8h = 1)
