NFHS4 survey reveals women more empowered socially financially than in NFHS3 estimate

"The fourth National Family Health Survey 2015-16 reveals a strong wave of women empowerment indicators for female health, literacy, financial means and age of marriage in comparison to NFHS-3(2005-06) estimates, the Lok Sabha was informed today.In a written reply, Health and Family Welfare Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste said according to NFHS-3 estimates, 55.1 per cent women aged 15-49 were literate that increased to 68.4 per cent in NFHS-4 data..."
