The Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program has collected, analyzed, and disseminated accurate and representative data on population, health, HIV, and nutrition through more than 400 surveys in over 90 countries.

COVID-19 Update: Some DHS surveys return to the field; others postponed until 2021
After a several-months pause in field activities, some DHS Program surveys will return to data collection, while others have postponed all activities until 2021. Many new DHS Program surveys are tentatively moving ahead with survey and questionnaire design, in the hopes that fieldwork will be possible later in 2020 or early 2021. The DHS Program staff based in Rockville, Maryland USA are supporting these activities remotely with the support of excellent partners and consultants in our survey countries.
