Journalists worldwide write about The DHS Program results. The dissemination of DHS, SPA and HIV data is often widely covered by media in survey countries, but journalists also use The DHS Program data throughout the year as background information for their stories, or to compare health and development indicators across countries. PHILIPPINE INFORMATION AGENCY (Philippines)

The result of the 2008 National Demographic and Health Survey mentioned that unmet need for family planning is the highest among the poor (28 percent) and less educated (29 percent) compared to country’s average (22 percent). The poor exhibited the lowest contraceptive use (26 percent).
