The dissemination of DHS, SPA and HIV data is often widely covered by media in survey countries, but journalists also use The DHS Program data throughout the year as background information for their stories, or to compare health and development indicators across countries. Can female genital mutilation come to an end in Egypt by 2030 NINA AWAD "...Another element that needs to be discussed is male dominance and the need to control women and their bodies. It’s a popular perception accepted by both men and women that women need to be tamed and restrained. Progress on Sanitation and Drinking Water 2015 Assessment and MDG update UNICEF and WHO (Geneva, Switzerland) "Looking back on 25 years of water, sanitation and hygiene monitoring, the report provides a comprehensive assessment of progress since 1990. The MDG target for drinking water was achieved in 2010 but the world has missed the sanitation target by almost 700 million people. In 2015, 663 million people still lack improved drinking water sources, 2.4 billion lack improved sanitation facilities and 946 million still practice open defecation." http://bit.ly/1J6roQe |

Attention au paludisme en ce temps de pluies-dormir sous la moustiquaire Pao Gadiel ...Les résultats de la troisième Enquête Démographique et de Santé au Togo (EDST) montrent que la prévalence du paludisme est beaucoup plus élevée en milieu rural 47% qu'en milieu urbain (15%). C'est dans l'agglomération de Lomé que la prévalence du paludisme est la plus faible (8%) et c'est dans les régions de la Kara et des Plateaux (52% chacune) qu'elle est plus élevée. http://bit.ly/1GKIvqo |
